Job summary

Armanino is seeking a seasoned accounting professional for its CFO Advisory Services team. The role focuses on financial planning, GAAP knowledge, and client advisory within a fast-paced environment.

You will lead projects, prepare external financial reports, and collaborate closely with clients, auditors, and internal teams while mentoring staff. A CPA and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business-related field or relevant work experience is required.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a public accounting firm and operational accounting role.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• A strong and up-to date knowledge of US GAAP with deep technical understanding (ASC 606, lease transactions, purchase accounting).
• Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, management, analytical and research skills.
• Flexibility to work from home while collaborating in person half the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for US GAAP and SEC requirements including accounting research and client presentations.
• Prepare accurate external financial reports to clients, auditors, or the SEC (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements).
• Assist in design and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
• Improve financial close processes and monthly/quarterly reporting timelines.
• Liaise with external auditors and internal decision makers for Audit preparation.
• Lead projects coordinating directly with clients.
• Foster proactive relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Supervise and mentor staff and provide feedback and training.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and preparation of pro-forma financial information
• Provide technical expertise for US GAAP and SEC requirements including accounting research, documentation, and presentation to clients
• Prepare accurate external financial reports to client, auditors, or the SEC, including the preparation, review, submission, and distribution of periodic financial reports, such as 10-K, 10-Q, 8K’s and proxy statements
• Assist in the in the design and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
• Assess and improve financial accounting close process, including accelerating and streamlining monthly and quarterly reporting processes
• Liaison on behalf of the client with external auditors and internal decision makers to assist with Audit preparation
• Assist with Cash to Accrual Accounting after a transaction, Opening Balance Sheet preparation and Purchase Accounting
• Lead and manage projects while coordinating directly with clients
• Foster proactive working relationships with clients and cross-functional departments
• Supervise and mentor staff or make timely and effective performance feedback and training

Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business-related field or relevant work experience is required.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a public accounting firm and operational accounting role
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• A strong and up-to date knowledge of US GAAP (exposure to IFRS is a plus), with deep technical understanding of topics such as ASC 606 revenue recognition, lease transactions, purchase accounting, etc. and experience within the technical accounting or SEC reporting team of a company is a plus
• Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, management, analytical, decision-making and research skills.
• Flexibility to work from home while collaborating in person half the time.

For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $140,000 - $206,000. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $160,000 - $215,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. __
