Job description

What’s Under the Hood DriveTime Family of Brands includes in-house financing and servicing through Bridgecrest, which is one of the country’s leading financial servicing providers. Bridgecrest services roughly $25+ billion in finance receivables for DriveTime and other third parties. We service auto loans across a wide credit spectrum with the intent of creating a strong path to vehicle ownership for our customers. That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)

In short, the Senior Field Remarketing Manager leads and develops a team of Field Remarketing Managers, and through them the Field Remarketing Reps, to hit company objectives across the national auction network. This role owns field strategy, coverage, and results across multiple client portfolios. It partners with auction and vendor leadership, Remarketing and Loss Mitigation leadership, and cross‑functional teams to make sure Drivetime standards are executed consistently, vehicle recovery is maximized, and cycle time stays controlled. In long, the Senior Manager: Leads, coaches, and develops Field Remarketing Managers into strong people leaders. Holds regular one‑on‑ones and calibration discussions, builds succession and development plans, and makes sure each manager is building their own Reps’ capabilities. Sets regional and national field strategy, including coverage design, territory alignment, and staffing levels, so the team is aligned to auction volume and business priorities. Owns field performance across portfolios. Analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly results to spot trends, set targets, and hold managers accountable to recovery, cycle time, and expense goals. Drives process improvement and standardisation across regions. Identifies gaps, builds the business case for change, and leads implementation through the management team. Manages strategic relationships with auction partners and vendors at the leadership level. Enforces SLAs, leads performance reviews and escalations, and supports contract and pricing discussions. Partners with Remarketing leadership on initiatives such as channel mix, digital remarketing, transport, and auction footprint decisions. Prepares and presents monthly business reviews to Senior Leadership, translating field data into clear insights, risks, and recommendations. Makes sure field operations meet compliance, documentation, and audit requirements across all states and auction locations. Manages field expenses and travel budgets for the team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (The Good Stuff)

Leader of leaders. You know the difference between managing Reps and developing managers, and you’ve done both. You build bench strength, not dependence. Excellent communicator. You speak and write with confidence, charisma, and competence, from a Rep in the lane to the executive team. You can turn a complex dataset into a clear story and a decision. Strategic and analytical. You use data to set direction rather than just report on it. You’re comfortable with performance metrics, root‑cause analysis, and building a business case. Love of listening. You listen with the intent to understand, not just reply, whether it’s your team, a partner, or leadership. Plays well with others. You build trust across Remarketing, Loss Mitigation, Operations, and external partners. We work together in order to win together. Self‑driven yet selfless. You manage a large, distributed operation independently, and your decisions are made for the betterment of Drivetime, not just your region or yourself. Fantastic problem solver. You find the problem, and more importantly you find and implement the solution at scale. Change leader. You can roll out new processes, tools, and expectations across multiple regions and get real adoption.

Requirements (a.k.a. What You Need to Get the Job Done)
  • Minimum 3 years Remarketing/Auction management experience in high volume locations
  • College degree or equivalent experience in Remarketing/Auction functions.
  • Willing to travel (up to 40‑50%).
  • Strong work ethic, high level of integrity, and good follow‑through skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively maintain relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
