Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Manager of the Failure Analysis Lab in Tustin, CA. You will lead a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and technicians in a state-of-the-art FA and Materials Characterisation lab to ensure product reliability for Electric Adventure Vehicles.

You will own lab safety, standards, scheduling, budgeting, and cross-functional partnerships with Product Design, Manufacturing, Reliability, Quality, and Suppliers to meet program milestones and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in a failure analysis or materials characterization lab.
• Experience leading scientists, engineers and technicians.
• Hands-on familiarity with FA instrumentation and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse FA lab team and run advanced failure analysis.
• Develop lab roadmap, budget, and capital plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional lab activities and ensure on-time testing.
• Drive safety, lab standards, and data quality.
• Communicate complex results to stakeholders and leadership.
