Job summary

Brother is seeking a Senior Manager, Facilities to lead operations across Bartlett, TN and multiple Brother USA sites. This role oversees maintenance, reliability, and capital improvements while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.

You will drive long-range planning, vendor governance, and sustainability initiatives, reporting to senior leadership and guiding a team of Facilities professionals.

Qualifications

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Facilities is responsible for the leadership, management, and strategic direction of facilities operations across all Brother USA locations, including the Bartlett, TN campus, Distribution Centers in Perris, CA and Richmond, VA, and office locations in Bridgewater, NJ, Colorado, Phoenix, AZ, and Chicago, IL. This position is accountable for facility maintenance, infrastructure reliability, capital improvements, workplace services, vendor management, sustainability initiatives, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Manager ensures facilities and workplaces effectively support business operations while providing safe, efficient, and professional environments for employees and customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Facilities Operations and Strategic Leadership

• • Provide leadership and oversight for facilities operations across all Brother USA distribution centers and office locations
  • Establish facility standards, maintenance strategies, service levels, and performance metrics that drive operational excellence
  • Partner with business leaders to align facility investments, infrastructure capabilities, and workplace environments with organizational objectives
  • Lead long-range facility planning, space utilization

Capital Projects and Infrastructure Management

• • Develop and manage multi-year capital plans supporting facility improvements, building systems, and infrastructure reliability
  • Lead major facility construction, renovation, expansion, and modernization projects from planning through execution
  • Prioritize capital investments based on business needs, risk reduction, lifecycle costs, and return on investment
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within approved budgets

Financial Management, Vendor Governance, and Sustainability

• • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for the facilities portfolio
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, service agreements, and performance management activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve facility reliability, service quality, and cost efficiency
  • Lead sustainability, energy management, resource conservation, and environmental stewardship programs

Compliance, Risk Management, and Business Continuity

• • Ensure compliance with applicable building, safety, environmental, fire protection, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead emergency preparedness, business continuity, facility security, and critical infrastructure protection efforts
  • Oversee facility audits, inspections, permits, and corrective action programs
  • Identify and mitigate facility-related operational, financial, and business risks

Leadership Responsibilities

• • Provide direct leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for the Manager, Facilities
  • Support, Facilities Specialist, and Facilities Technicians
  • Establish goals, priorities, accountability measures, and development plans for facilities personnel and service providers
  • Foster a culture of safety, customer service, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability
  • Serve as the primary facilities advisor to leadership regarding facility strategy, capital investments, workplace planning, and operational risks

Experience & Qualifications

Education Level:

• • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), Facilities Management, or related discipline Preferred

Experience Level

• • 10+ years of experience – Progressive facilities, engineering, manufacturing, distribution, or infrastructure management experience
  • 7+ years of experience – Leadership experience managing facilities personnel, contractors, vendors, and multi-state operations
  • 7+ years of experience – Leading capital projects, infrastructure improvements, and facility modernization initiatives; developing and managing operating and capital budgets
  • 7+ years of experience – Supporting both distribution center and corporate office environments Preferred
  • 7+ years of experience – Leading sustainability and environmental management initiatives Preferred
  • 7+ years of experience – Facility master planning and workplace strategy development Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

Base Salary

The targeted base salary range for this position is $ 105,000- $ 122,000 per year. Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible for a 20 % bonus at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on company performance and in alignment with company bonus plans. Bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon individual performance as well as Brother achieving its corporate objectives, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan in effect.

About Where We Work

Brother’s corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard.
