Cushman & Wakefield in Atlanta, GA seeks a Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to direct and support EH&S programs across Project & Development Services. The role will report to a client site in Cartersville, Georgia, and ensure safety is integrated into daily operations.

You will develop SOPs, coordinate regulatory inspections, monitor incidents, and drive training and audits across multiple accounts and sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
• CSP or CIH certification preferred.
• Ability to manage EH&S programs across multiple accounts/sites.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and US EH&S regulations.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is responsible for providing direction and support for all EH&S activities, including implementation, monitoring, and review of C&W compliance/performance. Position will report to client site in Cartersville, Georgia.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create, manage and lead the deployment of C&W’s EH&S programs across the US, to ensure safety is part of day-to-day operations at each site within Project and Development Services
• Effectively communicate C&W’s safety culture and operating philosophies
• Assist in the identification of possible losses; evaluate the risk in such loss exposure; develop and implement a plan to correct or prevent loss; and audit the plan to ensure effectiveness
• Maintain and update as needed SOP’s for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training
• Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected. Coordinate with Project Leads and site management on deficiencies and monthly safety inspections
• Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements
• Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, report and manage the corrective actions
• Support Workers Compensation (WC) claims tracking, investigation, and management process
• Liaise with WC Program Manager and benefits group on all aspects of injury management and rehabilitation
• Support compliance with all EH&S record keeping requirements, including corporate and regulatory compliance/program documentation, e.g., auditing, training, medical, and OSHA records
• Participate in site inspections and third-party audits to assure/verify regional compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations
• Travel to corporate and client offices as required
• Develop, maintain, and ensure the online safety training platform meets industry standards and OSHA requirements
• Collaborate with other service lines and global EH&S to implement programs and initiatives employed across C&W
• Review Policies & Procedures specific to EH&S, as well as support sites in preparation of their manuals for Emergency Procedures and Tenant Emergency Procedures
• Develop standards and processes related to common environmental issues in commercial buildings such as asbestos, fuel oil storage tank management, indoor air quality, mold remediation and water intrusion
• Attend new business presentations to discuss relevant EH&S topics
• Works to achieve performance targets within team with major impact on results
• Works independently on a wide range of moderately complex projects/assignments

IMPORTANT EDUCATION

• BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related sciences preferred

• 7+ years’ experience (or equivalent) in Environmental Health and Safety

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

• Safety Certification (CSP or CIH) preferred
• Demonstrable success in Systems Management across multiple accounts/sites
• Subject Matter Expertise in EHS and relevant US Standards
• Well versed in OH&S legislation and regulation
• Well-developed research and report writing skills
• Sound Investigative and Auditing skills supported by formal training

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 148,750.00 - $175,000.00
