About This Role

Senior Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing professional with significant experience. Develops and implements network, supplier selection, and negotiation strategy in support of organization's standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategic plan for an electronics sub-category and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with business objectives
  • Responsible for the overall relationship for multiple strategic suppliers for that specific sub-category
  • Drive cost savings and process improvement with spend analysis and innovative sourcing techniques, and by negotiating contract terms with suppliers
  • Lead in negotiating prices, assessing supplier capabilities, selecting new suppliers, narrowing supplier base, and working with suppliers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and improve their ability to provide quality, cost effective materials while minimizing inventory
  • Manage supplier selection based on price, quality, service, support, parts availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and details of suppliers' reputation and history.
  • Ensure Suppliers’ compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or company policies, procedures, work rules, standards, and guidelines, etc.
  • Partner and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develop sourcing strategies to continuously improve and re‑evaluate the supply chain activities of the company.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends and developments
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, engineering or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in sourcing/supply chain
  • 2 years of Advanced Microsoft Suite experience- specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sourcing strategies
  • Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑cultural suppliers on technical and logistics issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Cost reduction project leadership experience in a related environment preferred
  • Technical acumen / understanding of commodity management and ability to quickly learn products and industry
  • Ability to work in a dynamic cross‑functional environment and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Be process driven.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and follow‑through.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Willingness to travel both domestic and International, to develop, promote and maintain strategic sourcing relationships
