Job Purpose Summary

This role will lead the first phase of our manufacturing digitization journey within Sustaining Engineering. Tulip is the starting point, but the broader mission is to build a governed digital manufacturing backbone that improves shop‑floor execution, captures process knowledge, enables eDHR, and prepares the organization for AI‑enabled quality and manufacturing intelligence.

We need a practical digital manufacturing leader who can set governance, architect applications, partner with IT, and build the foundation for future digitization SMEs and AI‑enabled workflows.

What You Will Do
  • Own the governance model for Tulip and other manufacturing digital tools, including standards, app ownership, change control, lifecycle management, and data expectations.
  • Act as the chief architect for Tulip application development: app design, data model, templates, user experience, release process, and scalable deployment approach.
  • Partner closely with IT on platform strategy, integrations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and long‑term technology direction.
  • Translate manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operator needs into simple, compliant, shop‑floor‑ready digital workflows.
  • Build the digital thread connecting work orders, material lots, machine signals, operator inputs, inspection results, quality events, and product performance.
  • Define the roadmap for future AI use cases such as process drift detection, anomaly review, guided investigations, quality alerts, and automated insight packs.
  • Help build and mentor the first network of digitization SMEs, app owners, super users, and process experts across the business.
First 6-12 Month Priorities
  • Stand up the Tulip governance structure with clear roles, decision rights, development standards, and support model.
  • Lead the architecture and deployment of the first production Tulip applications supporting guided execution, quality checks, equipment data capture, and eDHR readiness.
  • Establish reusable app templates and design standards so future applications are faster, cleaner, and easier to validate.
  • Define the data strategy needed to convert shop‑floor activity into usable manufacturing and product knowledge.
  • Create a practical roadmap for scaling digitization beyond Tulip and preparing for AI‑enabled manufacturing and quality workflows.
  • Build credibility with operators, engineers, Quality, IT, and site leaders by delivering tools that solve real execution problems.
What You Will Need

We are looking for a hands‑on leader who can operate between strategy and execution. The ideal candidate understands manufacturing, has strong digital systems instincts, can partner effectively with IT and Quality, and can bring enough structure to scale without slowing the organization down.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years in manufacturing, engineering, quality systems, MES/digital manufacturing, or automation.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, quality, MES, smart factory, or digital transformation background.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional work across Operations, Engineering, Quality, IT, and external partners.
  • Comfortable with regulated manufacturing environments and validation expectations; medical device experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong systems thinking: understands how applications, data, equipment, people, and quality processes connect.
  • Able to write standards, lead governance, influence teams, and still stay close to the shop‑floor details.
  • Curious and practical about AI; focused on building the data and workflow foundation before chasing technology for its own sake.
Required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence without owning every resource.
  • Strong communication skills with executives, engineers, operators, IT, and Quality.
Preferred
  • Tulip, MES/MOM, paperless manufacturing, eDHR, or electronic batch record experience.
  • Medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Exposure to ERP/QMS integrations, PLC/OPC‑UA/Kepware, vision systems, or machine data.
  • Experience with analytics, AI/ML concepts, digital assistants, or manufacturing intelligence use cases.
What We Value
  • Customer First – We deliver extraordinary experiences.
  • Accountability – We do what we say.
  • Integrity – We do what is right.
  • Inspired – We love what we do.
  • One Global Team - We before me, always.
Benefits
  • Corza Medical offers a competitive benefits package including medical, 401K, vacation and sick time, paternal leave and other benefits.
