Job summary

DP World in Palmetto, GA seeks a Senior Customs Manager to lead complex trade compliance and cross-border operations within a fast-paced logistics network.

You will develop and implement tools and processes, interpret regulations, coordinate with internal teams and external brokers, and guide shipments to ensure compliant, efficient global trade across borders.

Qualifications

• Experience with import/export compliance, including customs regulations and international trade.
• Certified Customs Broker and Licensed Attorney.
• EAR and ITAR experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Trade Compliance Specialist and/or Certified Customs Specialist.
• Working knowledge of NAFTA and other trade agreements and special customs procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate trade compliance content and develop new tools, processes and capabilities.
• Interpret regulations for complex non-standard cases and communicate with internal clients and external brokers.
• Create and maintain instructions and documents within your responsibility area.
• Research customs regulations, determine regulatory basis for classifications, and interact with clients and brokers.
• Determine FTA qualification and prepare supporting origin documentation.

About The Role

How you will contribute

• Responsible for trade compliance content and expertise throughout the company, contributes to development and implementation of new tools, processes and business capabilities.
• Act to understand customer (internal and external) needs in non-standard and complex situations.
• Create and maintain instructions and documents processes in own responsibility area.
• Research customs regulations and rulings, determines regulatory or interpretive basis for each classification, and communicates with internal clients and external customs brokers.
• Determines FTA qualification based on applicable Rules of Origin and helps prepare documentation. Maintains appropriate documentation to substantiate origin determinations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications
