Job summary

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Relations to grow corporate funding for educational initiatives. You will lead strategies, manage relationships with industry donors, and oversee revenue forecasts and reporting across ACOG and the ACOG Foundation.

You will collaborate with the Senior Director of Philanthropy and cross‑functional teams to ensure grants and sponsorships align with priorities in maternal health,

Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, including garnering corporate grants and sponsorships.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated success securing five‑ and six‑figure corporate grants/sponsorships and managing multi‑partner proposals and award portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong budgeting and financial reporting skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Office products is required, and Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising CRM experience is preferred.
  • Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and proposals.
  • Timely responses to urgent communication requests from leadership and/or funders is required.
  • Occasional long days, some travel, and 2–4 weekend meetings per year are required.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect research: Identify industry prospects aligned to ACOG and ACOG Foundation priorities.
  • Strategy & pipeline development: Build and execute annual and multiyear strategies to secure corporate grants and sponsorships; track annual revenue.
  • Proposal leadership: Lead concepting and proposal development with cross‑team collaboration.
  • Stewardship & reporting: Manage deliverables and reports; ensure grant terms and branding are met.
  • Relationship management: Cultivate relationships with industry donors and prepare briefings for leadership.
  • Revenue forecasting: Own corporate revenue target; maintain projections and pipeline health.
  • Travel: Attend funder meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Cycle planning & administration: Manage sponsorship/grant cycles and financial tracking.
  • Grant agreements & compliance: Ensure adherence to charitable purpose and legal standards.
  • Monitoring & impact: Collect data and produce dashboards and impact briefs.
  • Internal partnering: Align funder interests with organizational priorities.
  • Board support: Prepare materials for Board meetings on industry fundraising.
  • Process improvement: Codify SOPs and improve grant processes.
  • Other duties: Assist in the grantmaking process year over year.

Job description

The Senior Manager, Corporate Relations, is responsible for raising money from corporate sources for ACOG and the ACOG Foundation’s educational and training initiatives. Working with the Senior Director of Philanthropy, they will execute a growth plan for corporate giving and implement strategies to drive year-over-year net growth in revenue and the number of donors. The Senior Manager helps plan and secure funding for several ACOG initiatives, including many that are held at the ACOG Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting (ACSM) and the Annual District Meetings (ADMs), as needed. They oversee the department’s industry-funded activities – from prospecting and soliciting traditional and non-traditional sources of funding, through the reconciliation of gifts and interim/final reporting back to donors. This role is ideal for an experienced fundraiser who is committed to advancing ob‑gyn health and who thrives in a mission‑driven, outcomes‑oriented environment.

Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a mentor for other positions in the department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Prospect Research: Identify industry prospects aligned to ACOG and ACOG Foundation priorities (maternal health, reproductive health, training, education, research, health equity, etc.).
  • Strategy & Pipeline Development:Build and execute annual and multiyear strategies to secure corporate grants and sponsorships; develop a diversified pipeline across discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship stages. Track and report annual corporate revenue for both ACOG and the ACOG Foundation.
  • Proposal Leadership: Lead concepting and proposal development (sponsorship applications, grant proposals, including narratives and budgets) in collaboration with clinical/practice, education, health policy, DEI, finance/compliance teams, among others.
  • Stewardship & Reporting: Manage deliverables, outcomes tracking, and narrative/financial reports; ensure grant terms, branding, and acknowledgment requirements are met for each industry donor.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry donors; prepare briefings and talking points for executive and volunteer leadership for major industry supporters.
  • Revenue Forecasting: Own a corporate revenue target; maintain accurate projections and pipeline health metrics in Raiser’s Edge/AirTable.
  • Travel:Travel to funder meetings, conferences, and ACOG events.
  • Cycle Planning & Administration: Help manage all sponsorship/grant cycles (eligibility, timelines, application portals, financial tracking).
  • Grant Agreements & Compliance: Ensure adherence to charitable purpose, restricted funds management, and relevant legal/ethical standards.
  • Monitoring & Impact: Collect outputs and outcomes, stories, testimonials and data; produce dashboards, one-pagers and impact briefs for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Internal Partnering: Work closely with ACOG clinical/program, finance, legal/compliance, communications/marketing, DEI, teams to align funder interests with organizational priorities.
  • Board Support: Prepare materials for Board meetings and relevant committees regarding updates, outcomes, and recommendations for industry fundraising.
  • Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement in fundraising and grantmaking processes; codify SOPs; support effective database hygiene, sponsorship/grants management, and data integrity best practices.
  • Other Duties:Work with the Senior Director of Philanthropy and the Development team to review and evaluate proposals for the first stage of the ACOG Foundation grant process. This is an annual process in which the ACOG Foundation distributes grants for compelling projects in the field of ob‑gyn every year. Each member of the philanthropy team assists in the grantmaking process, given the volume of applications received each year.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in public health, health administration, public policy, nonprofit management, or related field preferred but not required.

Salary Range

$85,000 - $95,000 USD
