Job summary

Gilead Sciences is hiring a full-time Senior Manager for its Corporate Development team to lead strategic partnerships across oncology, virology and inflammation. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will drive deals, coordinate diligence, and manage external relationships with potential partners to support growth.

The role requires strong knowledge of drug development, deal negotiations, and cross-functional leadership, with 6+ years in biotech/pharma or related fields.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of drug development and biotech/pharma industry.
• Experience supporting transactions and familiarity with negotiations and contracting.
• Aptitude for quantitative analysis such as forecasting and valuation work.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience driving and coordinating cross-functional efforts and presenting business cases to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution, with support, of corporate development opportunities involving strategic partnerships, investments, licensing, and/or acquisitions.
• Partner with key stakeholders across therapeutic areas to develop business proposals that align with growth strategy.
• Develop and maintain strong external relationships with potential partners.
• Coordinate diligence efforts and scientific reviews for identified opportunities; review opportunities and business cases with management.
• Lead negotiations, with support, of term sheets and contracts with identified partners.
• Position can be filled as Senior Manager or Associate Director based on level of experience.
