Job Description

The Audience Conversion team at People Inc. leads marketing strategies that acquire new audiences and convert unknown users into known. We are seeking a passionate and data-driven Senior Conversion Manager to develop, lead, and execute strategies that drive high-quality user acquisition across a range of brand products and initiatives.

This role builds direct connections between our brands and audiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds trust with cross-functional partners, and translates data and insights into clear, actionable strategies.

The Senior Conversion Manager will lead, manage, and optimize acquisition strategies for assigned brands, including efforts to grow subscription memberships, newsletter subscribers, app downloads, event ticket sales, and other audience growth programs. This person will own on-site conversion strategies from concept through execution, while continuously reporting on performance, learnings, and opportunities for improvement.

This role will oversee acquisition efforts across on-site marketing placements, interactive quizzes, sweepstakes, partnerships, and other conversion channels. The Senior Conversion Manager will work closely with an Audience Retention and Lifecycle Strategist to grow active subscribers and deepen subscriber engagement.

This position is part of a unified Conversion team and will collaborate closely with Product, Growth, brand leadership, and editorial teams. Success in this role requires a strategic, forward-thinking mindset, strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead through collaboration.

Hybrid 3x a week- (DSM or NYC)

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Positions Contributions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
  • Conversion Strategy: Lead the development and execution of audience conversion strategies that drive new newsletter subscriptions and other key acquisition goals. Build Audience Conversion roadmaps for assigned brands, contribute to vertical and brand planning, launch new acquisition programs and levers, execute A/B tests, and share performance results, insights, and learnings on an ongoing basis.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of conversion initiatives to ensure goals are met. Translate data into actionable insights, identify opportunities for optimization and growth, and communicate recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
  • Operations and Project Management: Build and manage campaigns within marketing technology platforms. Oversee QA, timelines, stakeholder feedback, and approval processes with strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Best Practices: Stay closely connected to industry news, emerging trends, and audience growth innovations. Conduct internal and external program audits and deliver insights, recommendations, and best practices that strengthen conversion performance.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Build strong, trusted relationships with brand leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Proactively anticipate partner needs, offer strategic recommendations, and deliver high-quality work across multiple internal teams, including General Managers, Editorial, Design, Data, Product, Growth, and Audience Retention and Lifecycle counterparts.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications And Job Requirements

Education: Bachelors and/or equivalent experience.

Experience
  • 4-6 years experience in acquisition or growth marketing
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in performance analysis and data-driven decision making
  • Proven track record of driving subscriber and/or email acquisition
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to build marketing campaigns within marketing technology tools
  • Knowledge of onsite targeting/segmentation and campaign optimization
  • Successful track record of managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience and comfort working cross-functionally
Skills
  • Proficient in google sheets/excel and working with large and complex data sets
  • Proficient in google slides/PowerPoint
% Travel Required (Approximate): 5%

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
