Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Houston is seeking a Senior Manager for Construction Dispute Resolution. The role involves organizing documentation, reviewing contracts, and providing expert opinion and testimony in support of construction claims. Ideal candidates will have 3 to 5 years of experience in the construction industry, strong communication skills, and be proficient in relevant tools like P6 and MS Project. Senior Manager – Construction Dispute Resolution

Position Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Organizing large quantities of construction related documentation
• Reviewing contracts, subcontracts and other contractual documentation
• Evaluating baseline schedule and assumptions
• Reviewing estimates & cost reports
• On-site construction progress evaluations
• Change order and pay application administration
• As-planned vs As-built schedule comparison
• Causation analysis
• Mediation/litigation support as required
• Prepare opinion presentation material and demonstratives
• Write draft expert opinion(s)
• Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Qualifications / Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of construction related industry experience and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of P6, MS Project, Excel and other graphical communication tools.
• Knowledge of project scheduling and project controls.
• Budgeting.
• Job cost reporting.
• Data management.
• Schedule and productivity reporting.
• US based and valid work permit if applicable.
• B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent work experience.
• Candidates with forensic accounting expertise and/or Architects may also be considered.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Strong desire to develop expertise in scheduling and damages analysis with a goal of achieving “expert” witness recognition in 3 to 5 years.
