Job summary

Vultr seeks a Senior Manager of Cloud Storage Engineering to lead the storage engineering and operations team responsible for Vultr’s cloud storage portfolio. You will oversee design, deployment, and operation of block, object and file storage services globally across all regions and performance tiers—from Archival to Standard to Accelerated.

This role shapes the storage backbone powering countless workloads.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of storage engineering experience including leadership in management roles.
• Deep expertise with Ceph and distributed storage architectures in production environments.
• Experience building and operating multi-tenant cloud storage services at scale.
• Strong understanding of block, object and file storage protocols and performance characteristics.
• Experience with third-party enterprise storage platforms (DDN, VAST, Weka, NetApp) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of high-performance storage optimization techniques for AI and HPC workloads is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
