Job summary

EveryMind is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Clinical Services, delivering clinical supervision, mentorship, and strategic guidance across programs. The role supports high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services and ensures adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.

EveryMind is hiring a Senior Manager to join our Clinical Services team with EveryMind. This role is responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to staff and organizational leaders to support high-quality, ethical, and person-centered behavioral health services across EveryMind’s continuum of care for diverse populations and age groups served by EveryMind's programs. Foster staff development, strengthen supervisory capacity, and promote effective team performance through coaching, mentorship, and professional development. Serve as a clinical resource for managers and supervisors navigating complex client, staff, and service delivery situations, escalating significant clinical concerns as appropriate. Support the implementation of program policies, procedures, and clinical best practices to promote consistent and effective service delivery.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management to staff and contractors as assigned, including regular supervision meetings, goal setting, feedback, and professional development planning.
  • Collaborate with clinical and program leadership to identify staff support needs, service delivery challenges, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the clinical team on the development of policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to ensure consistency across programs.
  • Support the implementation and consistent application of program policies, procedures, clinical protocols, and organizational standards across teams.
  • Develop the leadership, supervisory, and clinical management skills of staff through mentorship, consultation, and ongoing coaching.
  • Empower Clinical Supervisors to serve as the primary source of clinical consultation and frontline staff support, providing guidance and escalation support as needed.
  • Serve as a clinical consultant and resource to staff on complex or high-risk situations involving clients, staff, or service delivery across the organization's service lines and populations — including behavioral health concerns, crisis-related matters, and other sensitive issues — ensuring responses align with clinical best practices and organizational standards.
  • Partner with the clinical team and leadership on complex clinical, ethical, and operational challenges that are high-risk or organization-wide in scope.
  • Support the professional growth and development of staff through training, mentorship, onboarding, and the promotion of evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Support compliance with ethical standards, licensing requirements, contract obligations, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations; ensure staff maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation and records.
  • Maintain familiarity with organizational data systems, documentation processes, and reporting requirements to support service delivery and compliance efforts.
  • Maintain a limited caseload providing direct clinical supervision and clinical group consultation — as needed to support program operations and coverage.
  • Remain current on evidence-based practices, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and other relevant behavioral health trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervision to be exercised

Provide supervision to clinical supervisors and frontline staff as assigned. Provide clinical consultation and guidance to other staff. Occasional supervision of interns and volunteers.

Supervision to be received

Reports to Director, Clinical Services.

Qualifications

Strong Personal Resilience and Mental Health: Given the high-stress nature of the role, it is essential that candidates possess a high level of personal resilience and maintain stable mental health. This ensures that they are well-equipped to provide effective support and maintain the professional standards required for client care.

Education: Master’s degree in a mental health–related field from an accredited institution required. Advanced clinical licensure in social work, counseling, or a related field in the state of Maryland (LCSW, LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT) required. Board approved clinical supervisor status through a Maryland licensing authority required.

Experience: Minimum three years of experience providing behavioral health services across clinical settings, including experience supporting individuals in crisis situations. At least three years of experience clinically supervising clinical staff required. Experience implementing evidence-based practices and supporting quality improvement efforts required. Experience in a hotline or crisis center setting and/or supporting individuals with substance use concerns preferred.

Skills: Knowledge of best practices in mental health, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective training, presentation, and public speaking skills. Strong project management abilities. Ability to identify clinical gaps and design and implement practical solutions. Demonstrated initiative and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to strengthen services, protocols, and systems. Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required.

Abilities: Ability to provide and train on effective crisis response and de-escalation. Effectively interact and work collaboratively in a flexible work environment with a variety of constituents including clients and family members or caretakers, interns, volunteers, staff, CEO, board members, and community partners. Ability to express ideas with clarity, confidence, and sensitivity. Must be able to maintain confidentiality involving clients in accordance with organizational and federal guidelines.

This is especially true for people who have experienced these issues within the past 12 months and therefore we may not recommend this work if their experience is so recent.

Clearance Requirements: The employee must pass a criminal background check. Certain job functions may require employee to pass a child sexual abuse and other criminal activity as well as a credit check. All staff providing services to staff or clients, must be free of illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol, and must be fully able to always perform all required duties.

Working Conditions: The work environment is representative of that which an employee encounters while performing the essential functions. The employee must be available to perform the duties of the job during core business hours (between 9 – 5pm, Monday – Friday), with some flexibility to be available during evening and/or weekend hours. Therefore, the employee must have access to reliable transportation.
