Forvis Mazars, LLP seeks a senior professional to lead Capital Markets transformation initiatives across front, middle, and back-office functions in the New York area. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience with capital markets transformation.
  • Experience in a client-facing consulting or advisory role, leading complex workstreams or large-scale projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of capital markets: trading products, trade capture through settlement, market infrastructure, regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in operational transformation: process redesign, operating model development, platform modernization, workflow/automation tools.
  • Experience working with large global banking institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Capital Markets transformation initiatives across front, middle, and back-office functions, with emphasis on trade lifecycle management, trade capture, verification, and confirmation, settlements and clearing, collateral, margin, and treasury operations, client onboarding, regulatory operations.
  • Assess current-state operational workflows to identify process weaknesses, control gaps, and opportunities for redesign or automation.
  • Develop future-state operating models and transformation roadmaps aligned with industry best practices, regulatory expectations, and evolving market infrastructure.
  • Partner with technology teams to modernize key platforms supporting trading, market operations, and support functions (e.g., trade processing, settlements, data platforms).
  • Strengthen data flow and operational controls, improving data quality, exception management, and reporting across the trade lifecycle.
  • Translate complex operational data into actionable insights, creating interactive dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI) to surface trends, root causes, and performance metrics.
  • Identify workflow optimization and automation opportunities, including process digitization, workflow tools, RPA, and operational risk/control enhancements.
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including scoping, resourcing, budgeting, issue/risk management, and execution of deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and delivery excellence.
  • Exercise independent decision-making across engagements—strategy, risk identification, issue resolution, and quality assurance.
  • Proactively identify business development opportunities and support client pursuit efforts to expand market presence.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop high-performing team members.

Candidates must reside in the New York City metro area and be available to travel as required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in a client‑facing consulting or advisory role, leading complex workstreams or large‑scale projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of capital markets, including:
    • Trading products
    • Trade capture through settlement
    • Market infrastructure
    • Operational control frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in operational transformation, including process redesign, operating model development, platform modernization, and workflow/automation tools.
  • Experience working with large global banking institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and contributing to practice or revenue growth.
  • Experience working at a Big Four firm.
