Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Analytics in Maryland. This hybrid role, with two onsite days per week, leads a 5-person data team spanning data engineering, analytics and senior analysts, acting as the primary data partner to senior leadership.

You will shape commercial, financial, operational and customer decisions, balancing hands-on work with people development, and owning the analytics roadmap to drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data analytics, BI, data science or similar, with people management
• Proven track record leading broad analytics scope and cross-functional teams
• Strong business acumen and ability to challenge stakeholders constructively
• Advanced SQL and modern BI tool experience (Looker or similar)
• Experience using AI tools in analytical work with validation
• Excellent communication and project-management skills with demanding stakeholders

Senior Manager, Data Analytics | Maryland (Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week)

Up to $200,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus

The opportunity

You’ll lead a talented 5-person team spanning data engineering, analytics and senior analysts, and become the go-to data partner for senior leadership. You’ll have a genuine seat at the table, influencing commercial, financial, operational and customer decisions. This is a player-coach role (roughly two-thirds leadership, one-third hands-on), so you’ll keep your hands in the data while growing the people around you.

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years in data analytics, BI, data science or similar, including people management (flexible at 6-7 years for strong, directly relevant experience)
• A track record of owning broad analytics scope and leading mixed technical teams
• Strong business acumen and the confidence to challenge stakeholders constructively
• Advanced SQL and experience with modern BI tools (Looker or similar)
• Technical fluency across data quality, transformation and reporting
• Experience using AI tools in analytical work, with appropriate review and validation
• Excellent communication and project-management skills, and comfort working with demanding stakeholders

Nice to have

• Background in retail, CPG, ecommerce, subscription or another data-rich consumer business
• Experience supporting a business unit within a wider enterprise data organization
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt and Python
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
