Job description

We are the movers of the world and makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves, and build a better world - together. At Ford, we're all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

Ford's Central AI Team is the enterprise hub responsible for scaling AI and agentic solutions across the company. This role owns the training and enablement layer that turns a new AI capability into something employees can pick up, trust, and use every day.

In this position...

Ford is building a new capability at the center of our enterprise AI strategy. Reporting into the Central AI Team's Director of AI Strategy, Enablement, & Workflow, the Senior Manager, Learning & Development builds and owns the curriculum, materials, and learning journeys that teach Ford employees how to work with AI and agentic tools. This role partners closely with the Workflow Redesign Lead and with functional teams to ensure training lands at the right moment in a rollout, in the right format, for the right audience - from a frontline user learning a new tool to a leader deciding how to manage a team that now works alongside AI.

Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a required four-day onsite presence each week

What you'll do...
  • Own AI training curriculum, enablement materials, and learning journeys across the AI initiative portfolio, building content for a range of roles and skill levels

  • Own training completion, proficiency, and adoption metrics feeding into Insight Generation's scorecard, and measure training effectiveness

  • Build communities of practice - networks of champions across functional teams who can reinforce training and answer day-to-day questions locally

  • Manage training and enablement agency and third-party resources, setting scope, pace, and quality bar for their output

  • Partner with HR and functional team leaders to fold AI enablement into existing onboarding, career development, and skills programs, without duplicating training infrastructure

  • Maintain a library of reusable training assets for new AI initiatives

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degreeor equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering training or enablement programs at enterprise scale

  • 4+ years of direct experience building learning content for a new technology or tool rollout, with a track record of measurable adoption

  • 4+ years of strong instructional design skills, including breaking down a technical capability into a clear learning path for a non-technical audience

  • 3+ years of experience measuring training effectiveness through completion, adoption, or performance data, and iterating based on results

  • 2+ years of experience managing external agency, consulting, or vendor resources against scope, timeline, and quality deliverables.

  • 2+ years of experience working across a matrixed organization, partnering with teams that own their own local training needs

Even better, you may have...
  • Master's degree

  • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or another large-scale enterprise organization with a distributed workforce

  • Background building champion or super-user networks to sustain adoption after initial training

  • Familiarity with how AI agents and automation work, enough to design training that reflects what the tool can realistically do

  • Experience partnering with HR on integrating new skills into broader career development or workforce planning programs

  • Experience building modular or reusable training content that can scale across multiple initiatives at once

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company,

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up childcare and more

  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year's Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.

This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700- 268,300.
