Applied Materials is seeking a Sr. Manager of Security Operations to lead security programs across California, including Santa Clara headquarters.

This on-site role partners with Global Security, HR, Legal, IT, Facilities, and executives to protect personnel, IP, and assets while applying AI tools for incident triage, budget modeling, and streamlined operations. Travel up to 20% and a focus on measurable year-over-year improvements in performance and resilience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CTH, CPP, CPO, or similar) a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in a corporate security related field.
• 5+ years’ experience leading multi-location organizations for a technology company.
• Experience developing governance processes, KPIs/KRIs, dashboards, and reporting to support program effectiveness and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage security operations programs for Applied Materials locations in California, including building strong working relationships with senior level stakeholders and key business partners.
• Set expectations and oversee implementation of contract security services and physical security standards.
• Develop and manage operational metrics, KPIs, and SLAs in collaboration with cross-functional, regional and global teams.
• Utilize internal case reporting systems to optimize staffing and resource deployment.
• Design and implement security awareness and training programs in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and ensure accountability for assigned projects and initiatives.
• Drive strategic initiatives and contribute to broader Global Security and resiliency efforts.
• Ensure the role must be available and willing to respond to after-hour escalations and emergencies as needed.
• Engage directly and regularly with business unit leaders to represent the function and align strategies on key priorities and plans for each site.
