Job summary

Daifuku, a leading U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, seeks an Aftermarket Controls Engineering leader to design, modify, commission, and support control and power distribution systems for existing solutions.

You will manage a team of controls engineers, coordinate with sales, software, and field services, and drive continuous improvement while delivering innovative solutions that maximize customer investment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years of controls engineering experience in industrial automation or related industries.
Experience with material handling systems, ASRS, conveyors, and warehouse automation preferred.
Experience leading customer-facing engineering projects.
Experience developing and mentoring technical teams preferred.
Must be able to speak, read and understand English.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of controls engineers, including recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
Assign engineering resources based on project priorities, workload, skills, and customer commitments.
Develop departmental objectives, staffing plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor engineering productivity, quality, and project performance metrics.
Conduct regular design reviews, process audits, and quality assurance checks.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.
Support succession planning and professional development of team members.
