Adobe Inc. seeks a leader to build and drive an Adversarial Fraud Testing function within Global Consumer Trust. You will simulate real-world fraud, design repeatable testing strategies, and partner across Fraud Prevention, Product, Engineering, Security to strengthen defenses.

You will lead a team to identify weaknesses, prioritize remediation, and ensure remediation is validated through retesting, influencing product roadmaps and security postures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Economics, or related field with 10+ years of hands-on industry experience.
  • Experience leading technical teams in fraud prevention, adversarial testing, security, abuse prevention or risk engineering.
  • Strong understanding of how fraudsters exploit digital products, customer journeys, APIs, identity systems, payments.
  • Technical fluency with APIs, automation, scripting, data analysis, and modern web/cloud architectures; lead technical testing.
  • Must have: Python, APIs/HTTP, automation, debugging, Git, data/SQL, ability to understand product architecture.
  • Useful: JavaScript, cloud services, browser automation, authentication/identity systems, CI/CD, security testing tools.
  • Strong adversarial mindset with creative thinking about bypasses and abuses.
  • Experience developing structured testing methodologies and translating findings into improvements.
  • Proven ability to influence Product, Engineering, Fraud, Security, and senior leaders without direct authority.
  • Strong judgment balancing testing efficacy with customer, business, security, legal, and operational concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills translating complex attack paths into business risks and exec recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead Adobe's Adversarial Fraud Testing function within Global Consumer Trust, proactively testing how fraudsters may exploit Adobe's products, services, and controls.
  • Develop an adversarial testing strategy and methodology that safely simulates real-world fraud across journeys, APIs, accounts, payments, entitlements.
  • Lead recreation of significant fraud attacks to identify weaknesses and strengthen defenses.
  • Partner with Fraud Prevention, Product, Engineering, Security, and others to design tests and prioritize remediation.
  • Build repeatable testing capabilities using automation, APIs, scripting, and other technical approaches to simulate fraud at scale.
  • Validate new and existing fraud controls by testing whether mitigations disrupt attack paths and reduce circumvention opportunities.
  • Establish processes for documenting findings, assessing risk, communicating recommendations, and tracking remediation through retesting.
  • Identify patterns across tests and incidents to surface systemic weaknesses and influence fraud prevention strategy and roadmaps.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team with technical, fraud, and adversarial expertise.

Job description

Builds and leads Adobe's Adversarial Fraud Testing function within Global Consumer Trust. Proactively simulates and recreates real-world fraud and abuse attacks against Adobe's externally facing products and fraud controls to identify weaknesses and validate defenses.

Partners across Fraud Prevention, Product, Engineering, Security, and other organizations to translate adversarial findings into stronger controls, product improvements, and systemic risk reduction. Establishes repeatable testing methodologies and ensures remediation is validated through ongoing adversarial testing.

What you'll do
  • Build and lead Adobe's Adversarial Fraud Testing function within Global Consumer Trust, proactively testing how fraudsters and other bad actors may exploit Adobe's products, services, and fraud controls.
  • Develop an adversarial testing strategy and methodology that safely simulates real-world fraud and abuse across customer journeys, APIs, account creation, payments, entitlements, and other externally facing product experiences.
  • Lead the recreation of significant fraud attacks to understand how controls were bypassed, identify weaknesses, and determine opportunities to strengthen Adobe's defenses.
  • Partner with Fraud Prevention, Product, Engineering, Security, and other teams to design adversarial tests, evaluate controls, and prioritize remediation of identified gaps.
  • Build repeatable testing capabilities using automation, APIs, scripting, and other technical approaches to simulate fraud and abuse at scale.
  • Validate new and existing fraud controls by testing whether mitigations effectively disrupt attack paths and reduce opportunities for circumvention.
  • Establish clear processes for documenting findings, assessing risk, communicating recommendations, and tracking remediation through completion and retesting.
  • Identify patterns across adversarial tests and real-world incidents to surface systemic weaknesses and influence Adobe's fraud prevention strategy and product roadmaps.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team with the technical, fraud, and adversarial expertise needed to anticipate and reproduce evolving attack techniques.
What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, plus 10+ years of hands-on industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in fraud prevention, adversarial testing, security, abuse prevention, risk engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of how fraudsters and other bad actors exploit digital products, customer journeys, APIs, identity systems, payments, and business processes.
  • Technical fluency with APIs, automation, scripting, data analysis, and modern web and cloud architectures, with the ability to effectively lead highly technical testing.
  • Must have: Python/similar programming, APIs/HTTP, automation, debugging, Git, data/SQL, ability to understand product architecture.

Expected Pay Range

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $113,600 -- $273,175 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

In California, the pay range for this position is $188,700 - $273,175

In New York, the pay range for this position is $188,700 - $273,175

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
