The Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team helps organizations strengthen their finance and accounting functions through innovative, technology-enabled solutions and hands‑on execution support. In this role, you will play a key part in the growth and success of our national practice by leading client engagements, managing project teams, and delivering high-quality solutions across complex accounting initiatives.

This role combines technical accounting expertise with client and team leadership. Success requires a passion for exceptional client service, a commitment to developing and mentoring team members, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams, both internally and with clients.

What You Will Do:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for C‑suite and senior client executives, providing strategic guidance, regular project updates, and executive‑level presentations.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
• Develop engagement strategies and lead the execution of complex accounting and finance advisory engagements in collaboration with AAS leadership.
• Perform and review technical accounting research and advise clients on complex GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support client engagements involving complex transactions, including IPOs, SPACs, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Oversee engagement quality and ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client expectations.
• Identify and proactively resolve engagement challenges and risks, collaborating with leadership as needed to drive successful outcomes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project teams by providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
• Support business development efforts through proposal development, engagement scoping, pricing, client relationship management, and identifying opportunities for expanded services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years or more of relevant experience
• Strong proven technical expertise in the areas of financial accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A, or financial operations
• CPA License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit‑sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Virginia Wage Transparency

Pursuant to Virginia's Equal Pay Law, the salary range displayed is for the Virginia market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non‑exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility‑based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit‑sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
