Ashley Furniture HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, is hiring a Senior Management Trainee (Sales Manager). The candidate will be responsible for the store's daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all departments within the showroom.
• Oversee sales metrics including margins, volume, quotas, and closing ratios; develop and implement goals.
• Handle escalated customer issues beyond the Guest Experience Manager.
• Coordinate with the Visual Presentation Manager on product placement.
• Communicate policy updates to staff.
• Lead sales, guest experience, and visual teams effectively.
• Coach staff to foster individual and team success professionally.
• Maintain administrative costs within budget.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide training/support as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation of procedures and tasks.
• Complete reports promptly.
• Hire, train, and evaluate sales staff.
• Communicate effectively and attend staff meetings.
• This position is relocatable based on market needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s in Business preferred.
• 2-4 years of furniture retail management experience in a commissioned sales environment.
• Supervisory experience is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn in-house systems.
• Flexible working hours, including nights and weekends; willingness to travel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong team-building skills.
