Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a Management Liability Complex Claims Specialist to manage a portfolio of D&O, EPL, and Fiduciary Liability claims. This remote position involves coverage analysis, investigations, and negotiation with insureds, defense counsel, and internal teams.

You will drive claim strategies, budgets, and outcomes while collaborating with Claims, Underwriting, and reinsurers. Travel of up to 10% may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Superior communication and strategic negotiation skills with strong problem-solving ability.
• Experience in claims management, coverage analysis, and litigation coordination preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and data entry for claims systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex D&O, EPL, and Fiduciary Liability claims from intake to resolution.
• Analyze coverage issues and assess liability, damages, and exposure.
• Coordinate with insureds, defense counsel, and internal partners on claim strategies.
• Develop and execute claim-resolution plans within delegated authority and budgets.
• Oversee defense litigation activity, case strategy, and significant events.
• Provide timely reporting to leadership and reinsurers on high-exposure matters.
• Present findings and trends to Claims and Underwriting teams and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
