Job summary

Carris Reels in Rutland, VT is seeking a Maintenance V/VI to oversee the performance of multiple machines in the Assembly and Mill buildings. The role focuses on reducing downtime and increasing customer and employee satisfaction, with primary work in West Rutland Assembly and support to Main Mill.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of machines
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Install new equipment and read work orders for maintenance tasks
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities
• Follow OSHA safety rules and Carris Reels safety program
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas
• Demonstrate teamwork and strong communication
