Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE is seeking a part-time maintenance technician to perform light maintenance, repair, and cleaning in a safe, professional manner. You will work in care areas with precautions and use blueprints and manuals to perform tasks.

The role requires advanced mechanical knowledge, tool usage, and the ability to read schematics. You may be scheduled for various shifts and must follow safety and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school or vocational school preferred.
• Depending on location, a valid driver’s license and a good driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Complete light maintenance, repair and cleaning tasks safely.
• Work in patient/resident areas with precautions; keep tools out of reach of children.
• Read and use blueprints, schematics and manuals; use hand tools and meters.
• Perform inspections to ensure work orders follow engineering practices.
• Assist management with department operations and personnel.
• Possess knowledge to evaluate building and equipment repairs.
• Explain conditions clearly while troubleshooting; communicate effectively.
• Be available to work all scheduled shifts.
• Comply with policies and dress code; understand written and verbal communications.
• Complete advanced tasks with minimal supervision; know local, state, and federal codes.
• May include on-call duties as needed.
