Job Title

Senior Maintenance Technician, Multifamily

Job Description Summary

Responsible for assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on multifamily property buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties and facilities.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and grounds equipment, and HVAC systems.
  2. Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
  3. Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  4. Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment.
  5. Evaluate and recommend upgrades for maintenance operations and identify savings opportunities.
  6. Use and care for tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
  7. Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests.
  8. Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety and maintenance issues.
  9. Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and fire pumps.
  10. Perform carpentry and snow removal as needed.
  11. Comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety practices.
  12. Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems.
  13. Complete all required safety training and adhere to uniform dress code.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and work order systems.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

Must communicate effectively, operate office machinery, move about the workplace, and perform physical tasks as required.
