Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Waxahachie, TX to service road tractors, trailers, and site equipment. You’ll work across cranes, engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems, receiving training and advancing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, and mobile equipment.
• Experience with a wide variety of mechanics/hydraulics tools.
• Welding, cutting and fabrication preferred.
• Able to read technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT maintenance on road tractors and trailers
• Maintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, fluid pumping systems and welding principles/rigging
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
• Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed
• Services machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment
• Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components
• Maintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage
• Possesses proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
