Qualifications

  • 1+ years of property maintenance or related field.
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and management.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC systems.
  • Own tools and transportation to obtain parts.
  • CPO and EPA certifications required.
  • CAMT preferred; willing to obtain CAMT if requested.
  • Must pass drug and background screening.
  • OSHA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Address resident service and maintenance requests promptly.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor for 24/7 coverage.
  • Inspect vacant units for cleanliness and market-readiness.
  • Maintain property condition and safe environment.
  • Maintain records of preventive maintenance and work orders.
  • Communicate status of requests to residents and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel to vendors to pickup parts.

Apres Apartments in Aurora, CO is looking for a full-time, Senior Maintenance Technician! (www.liveatapres.com )

The SENIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the community at all times. This involves ensuring a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The Senior Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager or Regional Maintenance Director. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Senior Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities including, but not limited to, customer service and helping with the cleanliness and marketability of the community.

Core Duties:
  • Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Works with the Maintenance Supervisor, assuring maintenance personnel are available for emergency purposes, 24 hours a day/7 day a week.
  • Inspects “market ready” vacancies daily to ensure cleanliness.
  • Keep the physical property throughout the community and immediately correct unsafe conditions.
  • Communicates with residents on any pending items and / or status of completed service requests to ensure satisfaction. Also communicates with the Maintenance Supervisor and office staff (Property Manager, Assistant Manager and leasing team) any outstanding issues.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service request, expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work in progress, etc.
  • Changes locks and keys.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent maintenance-related fieldwork.
  • Ability to interact professionally and efficiently with prospects, residents, staff, and management.
  • Hands-on experience within basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems (heat pump experience a plus), swimming pools, landscaping, and cleaning.
  • Applicants must furnish their own tools and have transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors.
  • The applicant must be CPO certified.
  • Applicant must have a EPA approved certification.
  • Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred. Must be willing to obtain the CAMT if requested by management.
  • Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, walk between buildings and on roofs, stoop, kneel, and bend as well as have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all OSHA guidelines to ensure the protection of themselves and their team.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents.
  • Must have the ability to travel to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors.
  • Other duties as required.
  • The selected applicant will also be required to complete a drug and background screening.
Work Hours:

40+hours a week, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours are required as circumstances warrant.

Hourly Pay Range:

$27-$28.
