Job summary

JX Advanced Metals USA is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support our Mesa, AZ manufacturing operations. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and supports safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree or technical training in Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) preferred.
• Working knowledge of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Diagnose equipment issues, replace components, test repairs, and return equipment to service.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Maintain facility systems, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and building repairs.
• Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Order and track maintenance supplies, spare parts, and inventory.
• Assist with contractor coordination and equipment installations.
• Support ISO, IATF, safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
• Assist team members with technical troubleshooting and complex maintenance issues.
• Support facility, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 4-day, 10-hour schedule or 5-day workweek, depending on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and use hand tools.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely perform physical maintenance activities throughout the facility.
