Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities Manager in maintaining Goodwill facilities and grounds while upholding ACE culture. The role covers electrical, plumbing, painting, grounds, and equipment upkeep across the site.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance tasks, coordinating with external vendors, conducting safety checks, and ensuring timely completion of work orders. A strong background in building maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• 9–10 years of related maintenance experience.
• 12–18 months of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees building maintenance with daily, monthly, and yearly tasks.
• Plans external vendor work and contracts (approx. 10%).
• Performs electrical work, diagnostics, HVAC diagnostics, and safety checks (approx. 15%).
• Repairs plumbing leaks, maintains septic systems, hot water heaters, and plumbing fixtures (approx. 10%).
• Prepares surfaces for painting and wall coverings (approx. 10%).
• Maintains grounds, irrigation, and equipment (approx. 5%).
• Maintains equipment and tools owned or leased by the organization (approx. 25%).
• Transports and stores equipment and supplies (approx. 10%).
• Installation of data cables and security cameras (approx. 10%).
• Complete work orders and service requests in a courteous and timely manner (approx. 5%).

Job DescriptionThe senior maintenance technician works under the direction of the Facilities Manager to maintain Goodwillfacilities and grounds. Manages the building maintenance function through yearly, monthly, and daily work assignments.Recommends needs for contract and/or outside vendor services. This duty is performed about 10% ofthe time.2. Performs electrical installation, repair and maintenance work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs,cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs and replaces lighting systems; inspects electricalsystems for unsafe conditions. Performs diagnostics and locks out unsafe equipment. Providediagnostics on HVAC systems. This duty is performed about 15% of the time.3. Identifies and performs repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; open clogged lines and drains; replacesbroken plumbing pipes, valves, and fixtures. ; maintains and monitors septic systems; installs andmaintains drinking fountains; repairs/replaces hot water heaters. This duty is performed about 10% ofthe time.4. Applies and prepares various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain; repairs wallcoverings. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.5. Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, weeding, aerating andfertilizing lawns; replaces plants as needed; sets sprinklers; replaces broken sprinkler heads; maintainsground maintenance equipment; trims branches that create hazardous situations.
