True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for an automated manufacturing facility in La Grange, IL.

This on-site role leads daily maintenance operations within a highly automated plant and requires hands-on leadership on the shop floor. The ideal candidate has a strong maintenance background, experience in a union environment, and a track record of developing technicians and improving team performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Hands-on background diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Degree or technical certification is preferred; candidates with HS diploma and strong experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 16 mechanics and electricians through coaching, training, and follow-through.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues with the team during production.
• Handle workforce planning including scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and development of maintenance staff.
• Uphold safety standards and foster a culture of safe work practices.
• Collaborate with production and engineering on capital improvement projects.
