Job summary

Sun Chemical is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Mechanic in Wilmington, DE for an on-site role. The technician will handle overhaul of rotating machinery, installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance across pumps, fans, valves, and heat exchangers.

Strong mechanical skills and safety compliance are essential for capital projects and daily repairs. The ideal candidate will have a HS Diploma or GED, 3+ years of related experience, and the ability to work with forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.
3+ years of relevant work experience.
Ability to drive forklift and use scissor lift or boom lift.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on an industrial site with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Overhaul rotating machinery including pumps and fans, and other equipment; install seals and align components.
Perform in-field installations, including mounting equipment and motors with laser alignment.
Conduct preventative maintenance, lubrication routes, and oil sampling.
Document repair history and participate in site improvement teams.
