Job summary

Worley is seeking an EPC Maintenance Engineer to oversee critical equipment maintenance during decommissioning. The role ensures visibility of equipment conditions, PM status, spares readiness, inspection findings, and corrective actions to support safe execution.

You will provide technical input to optimize maintenance plans, review OEM guidance, and coordinate with planning teams to deliver a reliable execution plan for decommissioning projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, maintenance, reliability, or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in maintenance engineering, asset integrity, reliability, or operations support within offshore, oil and gas, heavy industrial, or decommissioning environments.
  • Working knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance, CMMS, work order management, and maintenance backlog reporting.
  • Familiarity with OEM maintenance recommendations, critical spares management, inspection planning, and equipment condition assessment.
  • Ability to interpret inspection records, maintenance reports, survey findings, and equipment performance data to support risk-based decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of HSE, regulatory inspection requirements, and safe systems of work in maintenance and decommissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Define anticipated utilization profile and duty requirements for critical equipment in decommissioning.
  • Assess preventative maintenance routines against OEM recommendations and operational demands.
  • Review spares strategy for critical equipment and align with maintenance needs.
  • Recommend revisions to maintenance routines, spares holdings, and strategies for safe execution.
  • Review inspection records, survey data, and establish baselines for critical systems.
  • Identify gaps in inspection coverage and define requirements for additional inspections.
  • Coordinate and support supplementary inspections required to validate system condition.
  • Assess inspection findings and support risk assessment and remedial actions for execution scope.
  • Monitor maintenance performance and track PMs, actions, and backlog.
  • Prepare monthly Fiix CMMS maintenance reports and look-ahead schedules.
  • Attend weekly Fiix CMMS meetings and provide input to planning and risk reviews.

The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining visibility of critical system condition, equipment performance, preventative maintenance status, spares readiness, inspection findings, and corrective action progress to support safe and efficient decommissioning execution.

The role provides the technical maintenance input required to ensure that outstanding critical maintenance activities, remedial actions, and equipment risks are identified, assessed, prioritized, and incorporated into the decommissioning scope of work, execution plan, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the anticipated utilization profile and operational duty requirements for critical equipment required to support decommissioning activities.
  • Assess existing preventative maintenance routines against original equipment manufacturer recommendations and expected operational demands.
  • Review the spares strategy for critical equipment and confirm alignment with maintenance requirements, equipment utilization, and decommissioning execution needs.
  • Recommend revisions to preventative maintenance routines, critical spares holdings, and maintenance strategies required to support safe and reliable execution.
  • Review inspection records, survey data, and visual inspection findings to establish condition baselines for critical systems and equipment.
  • Identify gaps in existing inspection and survey coverage and define requirements for supplementary inspections or surveys.
  • Coordinate and support supplementary inspections and surveys required to validate system condition and close identified data gaps.
  • Assess inspection and survey findings, support risk assessment activities, and identify required remedial actions for inclusion in the execution scope.
  • Monitor maintenance performance, including completed and outstanding preventative maintenance, corrective actions, maintenance deferrals, parts on order, and unresolved issues.
  • Prepare monthly Fiix CMMS maintenance reports covering PMR status, corrective actions, look-ahead schedules, regulatory and third-party inspections, spares inventory, planned downtime, and audit findings.
  • Attend weekly Fiix CMMS meetings and provide maintenance input to planning, scheduling, execution readiness, and risk review discussions.

Qualifications And Experience
  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, maintenance, reliability, or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in maintenance engineering, asset integrity, reliability, or operations support within offshore, oil and gas, heavy industrial, or decommissioning environments.
  • Working knowledge of preventative maintenance routines, corrective maintenance processes, CMMS systems, work order management, and maintenance backlog reporting.
  • Familiarity with OEM maintenance recommendations, critical spares management, inspection planning, and equipment condition assessment
  • Ability to interpret inspection records, maintenance reports, survey findings, and equipment performance data to support risk-based decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of HSE, regulatory inspection requirements, and safe systems of work associated with maintenance and decommissioning activities.
  • Effective communication, reporting, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
