Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or mathematics.
• 5-7 years of professional technology experience with a concentration in mainframe systems.
• 5-7+ years of administration experience including system installation and vendor software configuration.
• Certifications are a plus.
• Average keyboarding skills.
• Good verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and recommends new computer hardware, software, and solutions.
• Displays exceptional customer service to IT users.
• Serves as a role model and leader to IT staff.
• Designs and deploys technical solutions for availability, performance, and recoverability.
• Installs, configures, patches, and administrates mainframe and storage-related system software.
• Supports mainframe environment hardware (IBM Z, DASD, tape drives).
• Designs IT infrastructure roadmaps and DR planning.
