Job summary

Jobtailor in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced mainframe developer to design, implement, and maintain high-volume enterprise applications in the Electronic Channel Applications domain. You will work with product and architecture teams to deliver reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with systems and business partners, joining agile teams, delivering quality code, and ensuring data security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications.
• Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM.
• Knowledge of MQ would be nice to have.
• Development expertise in Java.
• Ability to perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments.
• Deploy and support software releases into production environments.
• Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe.
• You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing.
• Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus.
• Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn).
• Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills.
