Job summary

Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division is seeking a Software Engineer with a passion for building high‑quality mainframe applications. You will design and develop software architectures, test and debug solutions, and collaborate across product management and engineering teams in an Agile environment.

You will mentor peers, contribute to DevOps practices, and continuously modernize enterprise software while maintaining rigorous quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Eight+ years of software development experience.
• Proven mainframe knowledge with HLASM, z/OS and related tools.
• Experience with mainframe storage products and systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software architecture for mainframe applications.
• Build, test, and debug enterprise software using mainframe technologies.
• Collaborate with product management and engineers in Agile environment.
• Automate tasks via scripting to improve efficiency.
• Drive innovation and reduce technical debt while maintaining quality.
