Job summary

Experis Technology Group in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Mainframe Network Engineer to support enterprise network operations. You will engineer and operate mainframe TCP/IP and SNA/APPN solutions, driving modernization, observability, and AI-assisted automation across critical systems.

The role requires deep experience with routing, switching, VPNs, TLS/SSL, and REST APIs, plus hands-on use of IBM NetView and IBM Omegamon. This on-site position offers a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Extensive experience supporting enterprise networks with high availability requirements.
Strong TCP/IP foundation including OSPF and EIGRP.
Experience supporting SNA/APPN environments.
Knowledge of switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, TLS/SSL, and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

Engineer and operate robust network solutions for mainframe TCP/IP and SNA/APPN.
Optimize high-availability connectivity for high-velocity transactions and batch processing.
Lead modernization of mainframe network architectures with observability enhancements.
Advance automation and AI-assisted operations to reduce manual effort.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues across routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, and mainframe stacks.
