Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer with extensive mainframe experience to support, maintain, and enhance the organization's IT infrastructure. You will ensure reliability, scalability, and security across infrastructure components, collaborating with IT teams on deployments, automation, and optimization.

The role emphasizes monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation, with a focus on secure, compliant infrastructure aligned with business needs and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience. Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant and practical mainframe experience.
• Any relevant IT Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
• Support Tyson mainframe teams by providing guidance to Tyson application group as well as oversight of service provider system support teams.
• Develop and support policies, procedures, and guidelines to continually improve efficiency of mainframe native application deployments and infrastructure deployments.
• Always looking to improve resource optimization and cost optimization as it relates to mainframe resources or automation.
• Interface closely with Operation team.
