This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the heart of our commercialization effort.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and characterize inductors and transformers using PeraWatt’s soft magnetic materials across target applications to validate material performance under realistic operating conditions
  • Build the test and validation infrastructure to benchmark our components against incumbent materials and produce customer-ready data
  • Work directly with customers and applications engineers who will use our components in their power converter designs
What You Bring
  • 4+ years designing and characterizing magnetic components (inductors, transformers) for high-frequency power electronics
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, magnetic materials properties, and winding techniques for high-frequency components
  • Experience with core selection, winding design, conductor selection, loss modeling, and loss characterization
  • Proficiency with finite element analysis for magnetics modeling (Ansys, Comsol, or equivalent)
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field
What Sets You Apart
  • Customer-facing or applications engineering experience in B2B power electronics
  • Familiarity with magnetics for data center power supplies, EV powertrains, or renewable energy inverters
Compensation
  • Competitive salary + early-stage equity + full benefits
