Job summary

Barclays seeks a VP – Macro FX Markets Strategy in New York to drive views in rates and FX markets and to develop Emerging Market top-down strategy views. You will communicate complex analytics, work with large data sets and dashboards, and leverage Python/R alongside Excel/PowerPoint to produce differentiated research.

FINRA regulation applies. The role offers base salary visibility in NYC with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Clear and effective communication, both written and spoken.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with a methodical approach.
• Experience with large data sets, dashboards, and data scraping.
• Strong programming and econometric skills (Python, R) and Excel/PowerPoint.
• Experience in Global or Latin American fixed income markets.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce market insights and actionable ideas for Barclays clients.
• Analyze market, sector, and economic data to develop investment theses.
• Present Research views to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Markets, Client Strategy and Compliance teams.
• Support risk controls and maintain governance in research output.
