Job summary

Flexible Packaging Films Manufacturer in New York, NY is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to support plant operations. You will assist the Plant Engineer and President in maintenance and repair of machinery and facilities, with responsibility for ordering parts and performing PMs.

Candidates should have 5+ years industrial maintenance, knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and ability to read prints. Familiarity with flexographic machinery is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
• Able to analyze and perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs.
• Team player, disciplined, and strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with flexographic slitting and laminating machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Engineer/Director and President in machine/facility maintenance and repair.
• Order and stock parts for PM and repairs.
• Execute PMs and respond to emergency breakdowns.
• Read and interpret prints, schematics, and flow charts for diagnostics.
• Readily run and organize basic machine shop tasks.
