Job summary

Advanced Compressor Technology is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, lapping machines, grinders, etc.) and program CNC machines to produce precision components.

The role requires 10+ years in a shop environment, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with precision measuring tools; you will work independently to ensure safety and quality in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience as a machinist in a shop environment or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings required.
• Demonstrated understanding of basic math skills required.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints for product specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Operate manual machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders) and use basic tooling.
• Program CNC machines based on machine language.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain records, work independently.
