Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp in Twinsburg, Ohio, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills in a strict quality environment. You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and program modifications, while training junior machinists as needed.

The role is fully onsite, with responsibilities spanning tool setup, measurement, and ERP data entry to ensure on-time, accurate production. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• US Person with permanent residence.
• Experience operating CNC lathes and CNC mills.
• High school education or equivalent.
• 5+ years related machining experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand the full shift.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow process sheets and blueprints to set up and operate CNC machines.
• Configure jaws, tooling and live tooling as required.
• Modify or create CNC programs and make adjustments as needed.
• Train less experienced machinists and share knowledge.
• Inspect own work for dimensions and document results.
• Enter data into ERP system and support related tasks.

Brief Description

Perform duties toset upandoperatea number ofdifferent computerized numerical controlled machine tools to perform a wide range of turning, drilling, milling,tappingoperations onprecision machined componentsina work-cell environment.Follow quality and safety rules and keepworkarea in a clean and orderly condition.

Key Accountabilities

• Work fromprocess sheets, blueprints,setupsheets,setupcards, machine status boards, and verbal as well as written instructions.
• Machine and installor re-cutchuck jaws asrequired.
• Experience in running and setting up turning machines with live tooling and y-axis.
• Insert and secure tooling in machine turrets.
• Use hand toolsand manual machinesasneeded.
• Modifyor createexistingCNC programs for machinesas needed.
• Downloadand uploadprogramsintomachineand make programming adjustments as needed.
• Operatedifferent typesof computerized numerical controls to manufacture a finished machined product by performing a wide range of machining operationswithintight tolerances.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and makeappropriate adjustments.
• Make adjustments to offset coordinates to compensate for materials, tooling or machine center conditions.
• Will berequiredto train less experienced machinists.
• Set upand verify preset gauges for proper calibration asrequired.
• Work withsupervisorandsupportteams to resolve problem situations as required.
• Inspectownwork for correct dimensions and ensure that company quality and quantity standards aremaintainedand complete required documentation.Will berequiredto inspect the work ofothermachinists.
• May berequiredtooperatemultiple machinesconcurrently.
• Rotate between various department work centers asrequiredandperform other related duties as assigned.
• Entersdata intoERPsystem.
• Supports RBS activities.

Capabilities and Success Factors

• This position requires the applicant to be a US Person with a US permanent residence. A US Person is a US Citizen or Green card holder.
• Previousexperience anddemonstratedproficiencyinoperatingCNClathe,CNCmill machineswithadvancedknowledge and experiencewithsettingupmachines.
• Requires a high school education or equivalentexperience.
• Minimum of5yearsofrelated experience,andknowledge of machining principles and methods for computer numerical controlled machine toolsrequired.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Advanced skillin reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions in Englishrequired.
• External candidates willbe requiredto pass a Machinist test which measures mechanical aptitude.
• Moderate physical demandrequiredto insert tooling,set upworkcenters, inspectworkpiecesand make machine adjustments, which is equivalent to continuously lifting or moving light weight material.Must be able to lift up to 50lbsand stand foran entire shift.
