Job summary

LEAR Corporation, a leading automotive supplier, seeks a Senior Vision Engineer to drive machine vision projects across manufacturing sites worldwide. You will own end-to-end tasks from concept to deployment, collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

The role requires hands-on installation, software development in Python, and experience with Vision Pro/ VPDL, Cognex systems, and integration with PLCs and robots. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, CS, Automation, Robotics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in machine vision/industrial automation.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Experience with Vision Pro Deep Learning (VPDL) and Cognex VisionPro.
• Experience integrating vision systems with PLCs, robots, and manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine vision solutions for manufacturing.
• Develop PC-based applications primarily in Python; integrate with PLCs/robots.
• Lead installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
• Provide field support and manage project timelines and budgets.
