Qualifications

• 5+ years in Functional Safety Engineering; 7-10+ years preferred.
• Hands-on with Safety PLC systems and programming.
• Experience in safety circuit design, review, verification, and validation.
• Experience conducting safety audits and compliance assessments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate Safety PLC logic and electrical schematics for compliance.
• Perform safety circuit verification and validation to ensure proper operation.
• Audit Safety Control Systems for ISO 13849 and ANSI B11 compliance.
• Identify and document safety non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Modify Safety PLC programs and safety circuitry as needed.
• Coordinate and oversee third-party validation vendors.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and implementation support.
• Mentor internal teams on machine safety topics.
