Job summary

Capital One is hiring Machine Learning Engineers who will design, build, and deploy ML models across a range of real-world business problems. You’ll work with product and data science teams to scale multi-tenant platforms and feed models with optimized data pipelines.

Expect collaboration in an Agile setup, model retraining, monitoring, and responsible AI practices in production. You’ll use Python, Java, Golang, or C++ and leverage PyTorch/TensorFlow, Spark, and Kubernetes on cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of experience programming with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
• At least 6 years of Machine Learning experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• At least 6 years of experience with large scale distributed systems (Spark, Ray).
• At least 4 years deploying and operating ML in production in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and using Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product and Data Science teams.
• Scale multi-tenant platforms enabling training and serving ML models at scale.
• Inform ML infrastructure decisions including choice of model, data, and feature selection.
• Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate tests and deployment.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to create software for big data and ML apps.
• Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production; build data pipelines for training.
• Leverage cloud architectures to deliver optimized ML models at scale; implement CI/CD and monitoring.
• Ensure code governance and Responsible AI practices.
