Job summary

Bonsai Robotics, Inc. in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Senior CV Engineer to develop and optimize CV/ML algorithms for our robotics systems.

You will train and deploy models on embedded hardware and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models and algorithms into our products. Ideal candidates have strong C++, Python, and Pytorch experience, plus expertise in multi-view geometry and DL architectures for 3D vision.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS, robotics, EE or related field.
• Strong ML/CV background with object detection & segmentation.
• Experience with training multi-head DL architectures and 3D vision.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; able to deploy on embedded systems.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. CV Engineer to join our team. As a CV Engineer, you will develop, implement, and optimize our custom CVML algorithms for our robotics systems. You should have a strong background in any of the following technologies: ML modeling (preferably object detection & segmentation), classical CV algorithms and multi-view geometry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in programming languages such as C++ and Python.

What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and optimize CV/ML algorithms for robotics systems
• Train, test and deploy custom ML models on embedded systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models and algorithms technology into our products.
• Stay up to date with latest research in computer vision and devise custom algorithms
• Create and maintain code documentation and unit tests

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong background in most of the following technologies: ML modeling (preferably object detection & segmentation), classical CV algorithms and multiview geometry
• Experience with training multi-head DL architectures
• Familiarity with all DL architectures related to 3D vision
• Developing scalable training pipelines in the cloud
• Proficient in Pytorch
• Strong foundations in multi-view geometry
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python
• Bonus: Experience with ROS 2, TensorRT
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
