Job summary

SDG in Minneapolis seeks a senior machine learning engineer to design, train, and deploy advanced models for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with data engineers, software teams, and stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights and scalable solutions.

We value hands-on experience with AWS/Azure, TensorFlow or PyTorch, Spark, and AI-assisted tooling, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on ML development in a large-scale enterprise.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and services.
• Proven use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot).
• Strong data processing, data engineering, and data visualization knowledge.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior consulting or professional services experience is a bonus.
• Education degree or CS-related certification.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize ML algorithms and models for business challenges.
• Collaborate with data engineers to preprocess data and perform feature engineering.
• Train, validate, and fine-tune models; evaluate and iterate for accuracy and efficiency.
• Deploy models to production and integrate with existing systems.
• Stay current with ML developments and propose new approaches.
