Coastal Carbon is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop cutting-edge AI models that understand our planet. This position requires a strong background in Python and PyTorch, with 5+ years of experience in building distributed training systems.
The ideal candidate will be heavily involved in designing, implementing, and scaling state-of-the-art models while collaborating with researchers. Preference for candidates in San Francisco or Waterloo, but remote is possible for outstanding applicants.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer who is eager to advance the frontier of AI, help us design, build, and scale end-to-end novel foundation models, and leverage their hands-on experience implementing a wide range of pre-training and post-training models, including large foundation models (beyond just LLM fine-tuning).
