Job summary

PLP Digital Systems Inc. in Rogers, AR is seeking a seasoned Plant Machine Design Engineer to design new manufacturing equipment, fixtures and retrofits, and to lead related projects from concept through installation and start-up.

You will require a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of machine design experience in manufacturing, with strong Creo CAD skills, PLCs, electronics, robotics, hydraulics and fabrication knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering machine design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong CAD skills with Creo; knowledge of PLCs, robotics, electrical, hydraulics, and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Designs new manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and retrofits.
• Leads machine design projects and coordinates capital planning and budgeting.
• Develops prototype equipment, oversees fabrication and assembly, and provides engineering support to manufacturing teams.
• Supports process improvements, problem solving, Lean initiatives, and day-to-day production machine redesigns to enhance capability and quality.
• Interacts with operations, maintenance, safety, and management to ensure successful start-ups and implementation of key initiatives.
